Chimacum Farmers Market opens Sunday!

Your County Grown Country Market

The Chimacum Farmers Market opens this Sunday, May 20th from 10am to 2pm, on the grounds of the Chimacum Corner Store.  The Chimacum Farmers Market features more than 25 weekly vendors, with some of the best local food and farm goods around, direct from the producer.  Opening day will feature a farm animal petting zoo for the kids and music from the Washington State Old Time Fiddlers.

As the sign on the Corner Store says, the market features "Food From Here," with many vendors coming no farther than 5 miles away.  You can walk to Red Dog Farm, which is less a mile than from the market.  You could hike to Short’s Family Farm, or Finnriver.  Doyle Yancey's fuschias and Les Richards the Garlic Guy live right near by too, and you can practically hit Spring Rain farm with a rock if you wanted to.  Mama’s Harvest pickles and tamales, they live down the valley just aways and Millbrook Clayworks has their pottery studio just north of the market on Hadlock road.  An avid cyclist could easily make Dharma Ridge Farm, Oatsplanter Farm, or Java Gypsy Mobile Coffeehouse.

Other market vendors include Pane D'Amore's fantastic breads and pastries, Some Like it Hot smoked paprikas and more, Crust savory and sweet pies and gallettes, Red Top Kettle Corn, Three Strands Handwoven weavings, Cindy and Steve Mangutz rustic art, Bentley Cedar Furniture, The Spot's seafood and soups, Jim Queen's Chocolate Serenade, Elwha Apiary Honey, and more!

Come on out to the corner this Sunday!
